Memorial Day Weekend

I had the best Memorial Weekend! I decided to go home, because I haven’t been home since February, and I had a rough week. I needed my home and family, I needed the familiarity and sanity (what’s left of it!) Anyway, it was a great time! Friday night, Jenn, Hyrum, and I went to the new Terminator movie. It was INTENSE! I did love it though. Christian Bale, is DIVINE! I love Jenn and Hyrum, they are such a good time… bless!

Saturday I sat around mostly, just relaxing. It’s ten degrees warmer in Parma, and I enjoyed that too! Saturday night the single Parma kids got together and had a BBQ, played games, and reminisced of old times. It was also a delight, even though I am super old (most of them were either freshmen or 8th graders when I was a senior, YIKES!) I may be partial but I think some of the greatest people come from Parma, ID. It’s the smallest town ever, but wherever I go someone knows somebody from Parma. I love that!

Sunday was grand. We went to church and then my mom made the best BLT’s I’ve ever had. They were on French Bread. It was so good! Bless her soul! We laid around and talked and slept of course. My sister Maddie and I went for a ride on our motorcycle and then played some hoops. That night my mom helped me make a vinyl saying for my room with her Cricut!

It says: Enjoy this moment, for this moment is your life! How true!

Monday sadly I had to depart back to Rexburg, and real life. I did however have some bomb diggity chicken my dad grilled and some amazing potato salad by my mother. I love my parents, they are fantastic! On my way back to Rexburg I stopped at Old Navy and purchased the cutest summer dress EVER! I love it!

Back to real life now. Work has been getting stressful lately and I’m just not used to it!

It’s official, Summer 2009 has BEGUN!

Summer 2009 Yo!

WOW! What a weekend I had! It was great fun, I just love my friends so much. This weekend I just felt so blessed to be where I am at in my life. I’ve got a great job, great friends, and an amazing family. I take it all so much for granted. I often find a lot of the time we look at all the things that are wrong in our life, instead of all the good! I’m sure if I did that more often I wouldn’t be so caught up in the trivial things of the world! Alright, I’m stepping off the soap box now.

We bought tickets to Kelly Clarkson, June 11th in Orem, UT! I’m so freaking excited I can hardly wait, I LOVE YOU KELLY!

We also made a list of activities that we HAVE to do this summer. I cannot wait, I love the summer so much! Here’s a few of the things we’ve committed ourselves to, there’s a lot more than this list no worries:

- Shooting at the Larsen’s
- Paintballing
- Rigby Lake
- Bonfire at the Sand Dunes
- Midnight Showing of Harry Potter
- Bridge Jumping
- Camp out!
- Riot Zone (HA! I’ve never been!)
- Parma, ID
o White Water Rafting
o Boise
- Lagoon (there will be many trips to Lagoon I think!)
- Utah
o Kelly Clarkson
o PF Changs
o Shopping!
o Park City
- Weekend Trip to Driggs, ID (which includes the following activities)
o The Drive-In with the best hamburgers you will ever eat
o Some scary bridge we have to walk across (courtesy of Clint Moses!)
o Girls camp slide
o Jackson Hole

Did I mention that I love the summer, because well I do! I’ve got to save my sheckles for all these fun activities.

PS – Congrats Melissa on moving. Way to go sista, I knew you could do, and for that I think you’re amazing!

Excitement

There’s so much to be excited for!

#1 – My favorite people are in the finale of Idol! I just wish that Allison could have made it farther. I cannot wait until next week. I’m such an Idol junkie, it’s not healthy. And Jordan Sparks was looking fierce last night. Although she did remind me a little of J. Hudson, I mean not her singing but her outfit. Please no one comes close to J. Hud, she’s AMAZING! So on to next week, I’m so excited I don’t think I can wait a week!

#2 – Team Dunbar will finally be reunited this weekend (hopefully) Mr. Alex Trost is back from the Czech Republic today. Hard to say when we will see him because of jet lag, but I haven’t seen him since before Florida. It’s been almost a month since we’ve all been in the same place so a reunion is long overdue. Sushi and movie anyone? Heck yes its TRADITION!

#3 – My beautiful sister is running the 300 Hurdles and 4x4 Relay this weekend at state track. I would go home but I’m going home next weekend for Memorial Day. GO MARIAH! Good thing Hyrum is there to coach her through the roughest part of it all, the nerves!

#4 – I like to number things!

#5 – Melissa is FINALLY moving, enough said!!!

#6 – Pay Day on Friday yo!

#7- I’ve got my room all unpacked and picture hung up, I will also have to take pictures. And never fear, there was even enough space for my love Zac Efron to make it on my wall.

I’ve decided I will attach a picture of Team Dunbar. We are all so precious…

And this is Melissa and I...

Unpacked and Wolverine!!

Good news! I got my room unpacked… HOORAY! It’s a delight, I love my new apartment so much. It’s huge for one, and I have DVR now IN MY BEDROOM! What else do you need seriously?! On Saturday Melissa and I went and printed off some pictures. I can't wait until they are finished. They are mostly of Team Dunbar! BLESS! I didn’t have a chance to go to FHE last night (long story not really worth repeating), so I still haven’t really met anyone new in our ward. Although on Sunday by the looks of things, I think I will enjoy it. There seems to be more boys than girls which is really VERY odd. There’s also a lot of cute ones, so that’s fun too!

I saw Wolverine this weekend with my dear Melissa. OH MY GOSH! I love Hugh! He’s so dreamy. Granted he could be my dad, but he’s still smokin’. So I will have Zac Efron as my younger celeb crush and Hugh has my older crush. Perfect! I cannot wait this summer for all of the movies. Melissa and I decided we need to make a calendar of all the movies coming out. I better put aside some money too! I cannot wait for Transformers 2, and Harry Potter. I think that’s what I’m most excited about, oh and The Proposal. DELISH! I’ve got to get it together!

American Idol is on tonight yo! And it’s rock n’ roll night! You know Adam is going to ROCK IT OUT!!
