A Good Day

Today I have so much happiness in my heart it's hard to really express it in words. Yesterday was just a good day, and yes one extraordinary thing happened, but other than that nothing big. Yesterday my brother who I love so very much finally proposed to a most amazing girl, Emma Kempton. I've always been worried that Hyrum would marry someone who I really didn't like, and that would be the end of my world, but alas God was watching over me too! I already view Emma as my sister! The story is really funny and it's not my story to blog about how he asked her or whatever, but let's just say I convinced that kid to propose in about an hour. Thanks to my amazing bishop it was more than successful. Oh and B too, it wouldn't have worked if he hadn't of come, because well B and I were the decoys! Here are just some of the pictures of the night:
Emma and Hyrum
The beautiful ring!
B and I on one of our many adventures on this little sleigh!
Another reason I had a good day yesterday, because well I laughed A LOT, and I love that. I love that if you are with the right people, no matter what happens, you just laugh about your situation or even your problems (because those can even be ridiculous). In those moments too when you are laughing you are creating memories, and that's one thing I always cherish!

I found this website http://1000awesomethings.com/, yeah it also made my day. It's so awesome, and funny, and just good. I wish I had come up with the idea. There are so many awesome things, that we all love and didn't realize it or don't appreciate it. I also love Postsecret.com, but that one can be sketchy and is always usually deep… Anyway, here's to an amazing weekend!!

Hello Best Friend!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to shop. Seriously, it's my call and duty in life. I would rather shop in real life but you know internet works too. I love to shop for many things, clothes, shoes, parties, etc… but today I'm obsessed with finding my new spring purse. Yes, that's right, I'm one of "those" girls. That girl who spends some money on that extra accessory no one thinks about, I mean I love purses. You should see my collection! Granted it's just been recently (within the last couple of years), that I actually started buying quality purses, before it was just Target or whatever brand (and I still do buy from there but rarely). So I'm in love with the following purses:
I love the Poppy collection with Coach too!
or this Dooney found here.
I love this Coach bag!
One day I'll own a Hermes Birkin bag… ok so that will probably never happen but it's a good goal. I mean seriously Nicole Kidman had to be on a waiting list, they make like 3 a year, and they cost more than a car, so hey! Good goal right?! Seriously though, if you want me to fall in love with you buy me a purse (and it doesn't have to be expensive, just cute), or you know talk to me about them at least. Happy purse hunting!

Oh Provo!

This weekend was a much needed relaxing weekend. My cold or sinus infection whatever you want to call it took a turn for the worse on Saturday. I felt so crappy, good thing I had Sunday to sleep it all off. I got to spend a lot of time with my family and especially Liam. He's growing too fast! He's a full-fledge hooligan and a copy-cat. I love him very much! I also got to expand my wardrobe with some killer sales this weekend. I'm very excited for new clothes, buying them gives me a high (wow I think I have a problem). I also got a pedicure which was amazing and much needed; I don't care if it the tail end of winter my toes and feet still need to be cute, HELLO! I also went to the most AMAZING tanning salon I've ever been too. I wish Rexburg had one of those. Oh and top it off I went to IKEA where I finally purchased a TV stand…too bad it wouldn't fit in Emma's car, we are going to have to wait a couple of weeks now! Provo had such beautiful weather and wouldn't you know as soon as I enter Idaho Falls, there it is, snow… awesome. Here are some pictures from the weekend!
Going to church, what a cute boy!
Precious little family!
Kissed by Mariah!
Liam just look at the camera will you!!
The best aunt's EVER!

Weekend Getaway

I had an amazing week! My weekend getaway? Provo, UT…ohh wow! This weekend I am catching a ride with Hyrum and Emma to Provo to see Liam (oh and my brother and sisters too). I haven't seen Liam since Christmas and now he's just zooming around like a little boy! I'm also excited to go clothes shopping. As of Monday my total weight loss equals close to 40 pounds. That's CRAZY! So of course I can no longer try to fake I fit into my clothes, I must break down and buy some more (I know tough job, but someone has got to do it!) So clothes shopping, IKEA shopping (have to get a TV stand because every person complains to me about my TV being on the floor), and yes a pedicure! I will also try and fit in some delish food! Hopefully I can fit some sleep in there as well.

I also have avoided a cold ALL winter long, and then Wednesday BAM there it is. First it was a cough, but now it's the full shabam, and I hate it! Why do I have to get sick on a 3-Day weekend? So annoying! I just hope that Utah is warmer then Rexburg. I hate February here; it's the longest month EVER! Hurry up summer!

Last of all, I'm really excited about Idol this year, most of my favorites have made it through and I'm really enjoying the new judges. Who would have thought? Steven Tyler is CRAZY! Hopefully we can move past this Hollywood week and quick!

Easy Cookin’ with Hometeacher!

This weekend was really fun, but really low key, and I loved that. This weekend I just enjoyed spending time with my friends, I really have gotten to know some amazing people! Anyway, on Friday Ashley fed me some amazing enchiladas and then I needed a vacuum cleaner, and since Matt (aka Hometeacher) is her neighbor, we just decided to pop on over. He's one funny kid that's for sure. He hadn't eaten yet so we were introduced to the cooking show "Easy Cookin' with Hometeacher". He made a fried eye sandwich with 3 eggs, bread, some hot sauce, and of course his Ginger Beer straight from Australia. He even cleaned up his mess, what a good kid. Then we went around Rexburg, and to Wal-mart to find me a vacuum. Matt and Ashley were great help, and I picked one within budget and a lot of power! Since we looked at vacuum cleaners we had to look at guns, just so Matt could feel manly. After Wal-Mart we went to Dairy Queen where Matt told us a great many stories of his childhood that had us laughing for a while. We decided to needed to make this a weekly ritual since you know we had so much fun.
Matt's gourmet meal. Next week he'll teach us the art of cold cereal!
Saturday I slept most of the day, seriously though, I needed it. Plus I'm an adult and do what I want, that's why I love Friday, I can stay up all night if I want!! Saturday night we played an intense game of volleyball, and I loved it. Its crazy how many people are looking for a something to do on Saturday night at the BYU-I Center. We met several new people, but mostly a new kid named Ryan, who was the fastest volleyball player I've ever seen! I'm still sore, we played for close to 3 hours, and well I thoroughly enjoyed myself. We then went to Millhallow because half of us were hungry and half of us wanted frozen yogurt. I then remembered we needed things for Sunday dinner so late night run to Broulims is always interesting, then we stopped by B's just in time to watch Harry and the Henderson's. B claims this is the funniest movie ever, I mostly just laughed because well it's about Bigfoot. Oh laws!
Sunday was great. A lot of meetings per usual, but that's expected. I gave a short impromptu talk (sort of), and then dinner and a fireside with Elder Hammond, and then back for our weekly game night. One of our new favorite games has become Truth or Truth. I invented this game back when we were camping one summer before our big annual raft trip. Mackenzie was in our tent (mind you this is before she married Austin), and I wanted the dirt. So of course instead of just asking her straight out, I made a game of it. Needless to say, it works every time. When I taught my crew this game at first they were like, Savanna you are crazy, but now, especially when someone wants to know something, it's starts out as Truth or Truth. Also, can I just add that I love my ward. It has been an up and down struggle for me, but seriously as of late I just love being with these amazing people who are so funny but also just good wholeseom people. Oh and Happy Valentine's Day!

Turn it Up!

As of lately I've been a music freak. Jenn, Hyrum, and most of my friends are really into music, I go in stages, sometimes I could care less to listen to music I would rather listen to my audiobook (nerd alert), but now it seems like I can't get enough of the tunes. Well I always listen to music at work, just part of life, turn on my computer, open up my email, open up the radio station, Pandora, or playlist.com. Pandora is usually my poison, but I listen to it so much but the end of month I exceed my listening limit, so I have to space it out a little. I love playlist.com because I can just listen to what I want, the downside to that is not every song is available. Then there is the good ol' radio, and really for Eastern Idaho I have 3 stations, z103.3, Sunny 94.3, or Classy 97.3. 94.3 is actually my favorite, they don't repeat as much and they really have newer songs! I've recently discovered (because I'm slow), that I can listen to my favorite radio station in Florida via the interwebs, DUH SAVANNA! The morning show is hilarious, and makes me miss those warm humid mornings stuck in traffic, and the DJ on the drive home is pretty awesome too check it out here.

I also heard this guy – Boyce Avenue, sing a cover on the Ferras channel on Pandora, which lead me to YouTube, which lead me to the most amazing discovery and a wish fulfillment. Katy Perry's Firework sang acoustically! I've wanted to hear a GOOD professional version ever since that song came out and now my dreams came true because you can buy the song on iTunes. LOVE. He has a LOT of songs on YouTube that he's covered, also I loved that he covered a rap song, yeah my new love. Check out the videos below.

Finally, I love a good song that you can dance too, whether it be Gaga (which btw my verdict is still out on her new single, she's straight up crazy) or Eminem (love him), it's a good time to crank the music in the car, club, or just in your headphones at work. I just love music in general, it can express ALL emotions.

You Don't Owe Me

Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, "you owe me." Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky...

I saw this quote on a friend's status on Facebook and for some reason it will not leave my mind. I was even in bed checking my Facebook (I know, got nothing else to do), I had to jump up and grab my journal to write it down. I think it's just so perfect. It's so easy to be the selfish one, in any relationship, to go into thinking how can this benefit me? What can you do for me? I've learned so much lately about love, and no I'm not in love with anyone. Just the love that people show me, the ones who love me the most expect nothing in return. I think that's why when you find that it does give life a whole new meaning, and lights up your life. Whether you find the someone who you've been waiting your whole life to find, and now your heart isn't big enough to fill all the love you have, a best friend who loves you no matter how many times you tell her the same problem over and over again, giving a good hug when you are sad, or telling an inside joke just to make you laugh, it's amazing. As sappy as I sound right now, love is really what makes the world go round and gives light to everything it touches.

If I Could Wish for Anything, I Would Wish to Remember Everything

I had a great weekend. Jenn, Cole, and Mariah came up this weekend. You can read some of Jenn's thoughts here. She always has more perspective then I do. Anyway here is what we did and hey pictures are included (except Sunday, why didn't I take any pictures on Super Bowl Sunday?)
Friday we went to B's cousin's basketball game in the BYU-I Center. It's crazy how many people we see that we know there, place to be on Friday I guess. Afterwards we decided to all meet up and go to dinner at our new favorite place, Gator Jacks. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich per usual, but didn't get pictures of my side of the table. We decided to head back to my apartment and play some games, but Emma got some bad news so we took her home and then just chilled at my house. We played some Guitar Hero and of course got caught up on Jersey Shore and American Idol. I also made pancakes, and then we stayed up and chatted until way too early in the morning. Good thing we can sleep in!
Saturday was jam packed full of activities. We went shopping, took our sweet time getting ready for the day, I went snowmobiling (again why didn't I take pictures?), then it was my dear Sarah's birthday so we piled into Pearl and headed to the Snakebite. I love this restaurant, its downtown Idaho Falls, it feels so urban chic. It was really good food, and we had a good time watching an awkward first date (I'm assuming it was a first day), and just catching up. My favorite part of the entire weekend happened on the car ride home, not only did we enlighten Emma about our crazy family stories and past, but I almost crashed because I was laughing so hard. We met up at B's house to play some Kinect (Dance Central) and then we played Funglish. If you've never played that game you should, and I've come to the conclusion that boys are WAY better than girls, so if the chance comes around to play it, be with a boy.
Sunday was church and all that ensued good as usual. It was also the Super Bowl. I was in charge of pizzas, and there were a lot of hungry boys so I had to hurry and cook them before it started! It was a great party, and we even managed to rap to some T-Pain thanks to Jenn's T-Pain app…best $.99 cents ever spent! I didn't watch a lot of the commercials (I was either cooking or talking, I know I'm dumb!). It was a great party though lots of people and lots of good food. Then it was time for my dearest friends to part. Sad. I'm so glad they came this weekend though, I loved every second! Here are some pictures of our weekend.

Ashley, Jenn (cute hair girl), and Brittany
As I was taking this picture Hyrum tells Brittany, it's going to look like we are the couple!
My seester Ry... beautiful right? Sickening...jk!
Lola, Jessica, and Sarah! Happy Birthday Sarah!
My beautiful family and friends at the Snakebite. Love them!
Frezbians.
I just had to add this picture because B brags that he's made it on my blog now 3 weekends in a row.

A Good Day

Here we are again; I've arrived at the weekend. Like I last posted, these days that I live for, the days the go by so quickly. This weekend is going to JAM PACKED full of things, and that's how I love it. The following things may or may not happen this weekend:

  1. Slumber Party = minimal sleep (good thing I've trained my body)
  2. My little seester will be here!
  3. My BFF will also be here!
  4. I'm pretty sure it's my other BFF's birthday!
  5. Super Bowl Party
  6. Hugs, tears, and so much laughter I'll be exhausted.
  7. Rockin' some new clothes (I love that feeling of new clothes)
  8. Many pictures
  9. Reminiscing (as always)
  10. Building friendships!

I love it!

Non-Talent Show

For FHE our ward had the annual Non-Talent Show. We wanted to do something funny and original so an idea was formed at like 3 in the morning and we made it into a skit. 10 Things NOT to do on a Date. Most of the experiences we acted out have actually happened to us or someone that we know, which is funny but also sad. The beauty of being single I guess. We had a great time practicing and preforming along with coming up with dating faux pas. The video of the skit is below, it's in two parts so make sure to watch part 1 first. My favorite part of the whole thing, and still makes me laugh is Heather and Matt, she's so great at being clingy and slapping his behind after a "great" date. I also love when B checks out waitress Ashley, haha! Below are pictures of the cast and crew, and pretty much all the people I hang out with. We have a pretty good time together I would say, definitely never a dull moment!
We are a pretty good looking bunch I would say.
And this personifies how crazy we really are.
That is why I love this picture so much!
