Wedding Time!

I can't believe this week is finally here. The week that my dearest brother Hyrum gets married. It's crazy really. This afternoon Mariah and I will leave to drive down to Parma to begin the festivities of matrimony. I'm very excited. I actually feel a lot of emotions, all good of course, but you know I know that things will change. This summer has been good for me, I depended a lot on Hyrum for a lot of things, and I've learned how to deal with those things on my own. Granted I depend on him still, and always will, but for once I feel like I've taken my problems and asked for advice but didn't run from them. Sorry that was a little off topic, oh well. Anyway, this weekend is bound to be fun, because I get to see family and friends (who are basically family). Hyrum is loved by many and I know many will be there to share in his happiness and joy. Don't worry I'll be posting a lot of pictures on Facebook via my new iPhone so every moment is captured. I feel like summer can officially begin, because I've been waiting for this day for awhile. I even accomplished my goal of losing 10 pounds before his wedding!
I'm so excited to have Emma as a sister, we've become great friends and I love her dearly. She's going to be an amazing addition to the Blaylock Family that is for sure. She is Hyrum's match in every way, and I'm glad he listened to me and stuck with it. HA! She will also get to love my beautiful hometown of Parma since they just bought a house there. Lucky kids, pretty sure Parma is the best kept secret in all of America (ok so I'm a little bias). I can't wait to create many memories with her!
I always thought I would be sad when Hyrum got married (because I always knew he would before me), but I'm so happy and proud of him. It's what life is all about, living your life the way you're supposed to and being blessed for obedience. He deserves nothing but the best, because well he's probably one of the greatest examples to me and I love him dearly. Congratulations Brother!
Let the party begin people! Peace and love!

Minute to Win it!

For our ward party this past weekend we played Minute to Win it. We had a lot of fun! The final challenge included us trying to get an Oreo from our forehead to our mouth without using our hands. Good picture quality that's for sure!

Josh looks like he is in pain!

 Skills!
Go Cliff!
This is Anthony and Leroy playing the game of trying to get the eggs into the square. Funny. Difficult to also not step on the eggs.
Our team did not win, but we still had a lot of fun. It's scary how competitive I get, even when trying to blow a piece of paper across a table. Love it!

Hello White Beauty!

So check it I made my decision! I am blogging from my brand new iPhone. I cannot tell you how much I am already in love with it. Seriously I can't believe I was paying for that Blackberry! I am quickly learning the tricks and the trades of this beautiful invention. B has got me hooked on this app called Hey Tell. Anyone with a Droid can use it too. It is like a walkie talkie and I love it because it is so much better to hear someone's voice then read a text message. Especially when someone is a bazllion miles away for the summer. I also love my Dish Network app which lets me set and even watch my DVR from my phone! Can you say awesome? So what apps do you love or which ones do you hate? I haven't even begun to explore the realm of games! Haha! Today is going to be spent getting to know my little White Beauty and shopping for accessories for her! Oh and I guess wedding stuff too!

iPhone vs. Droid

I've been having an argument with myself for the past month, and it is annoying me. I'm not an indecisive person by any means, and in fact almost an impulsive person sometimes. Here's my dilemma:

This:

or This:

So the iPhone vs. Droid. The ever popular debate. Heaven help me I cannot decide which I like better. The crazy thing is between my friends it's split too. Half of them have Droids, the other half have iPhones. CRAP! I want to be able to blog from my phone, and surf the internet a lot faster than what I am now. I can also wait until September which supposedly the new iPhone comes out. Rumor though. I've always wanted an iPhone. I just think they are so pretty, but I love all the apps on Droid. Will someone just make my decision for me?! And I can't use price as an objective either, they are both the exact same price. LAWS! This is an important decision people, my phone is my lifeline to others, and pretty much my right hand. Also, I'm a little scared about not have any more buttons, an all touch phone is SCARY! What do you think?! And I know I will NOT miss my Blackberry that is for SURE!!

Bonfire!

This weekend was all about sleep for me. Work was so hectic this past week I didn't get a lunch break for 3 days. Thank you OVERTIME! I love me some extra $$! Anyway on Friday Anthony suggested we do a bonfire up in the hills of Idaho. The weather finally cleared up enough for us to go, and I had a most delightful time. I really do know some of the funniest people out there. Kyle took his truck and we piled in for a our little adventure.
Anthony, Kyle, and Ri - These boys were hardcore, hello it's just a campfire!
Megan and Riana, pretty much LOVE THEM!
Kyle sure is lucky to have all of these lovely ladies in his truck!
Anthony took us up to the middle of nowhere but it was so beautiful. I love Idaho, ESPECIALLY in the summer. There is so many amazing things to do and see. Anthony knows all the different places that I would never have known about before so I know this summer is going to be amazing.
So like I said, this site was in the middle of nowhere so we had to ride through some trees and brush. Josh had the window rolled down and this is the perfect picture to capture the words that came out of his mouth when he hit some branches.
Some even got in Kyle's mouth (or he chose to eat it I'm not really sure).
Look at all of us getting ready for a night full of delightful fire!
Anthony using his scouting skills. I love how everytime a boy builds a fire, Scouts has to come up. HA!
Look it's Paul Bunyan!
Riana told me to give the camera attitude so I did. I actually am a very happy person who enjoys the fire! :)
Mr. Kyle over here at 5, yes I said 5, bratwursts. He would have eaten all 6 but someone ate one. He was TICKED, but dang that's a lot of sausage.
Anthony took me for a dirt bike ride. We had a lot of fun and you know a stray dog followed us back. Oh Gunner.
And my Riana enjoying her S'more. First one of the season! She even shared with me!
I can't wait for many more fires this summer. It is just starting to get warm enough to where we can actually stay outside for more than 1 hour. Saturday night I also went to the drive-in, so now I believe it is officially summer. I saw X-men, it was really good. I liked it.

I cannot believe the wedding is only a week and a half away. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. I'm sure I'll be a hot mess, but I'm ready for a new sister!

CrossFit = Holy Crap I Can't Walk

So I've started doing a type of exercise call CrossFit, or in other words it is so intense you can't walk for three days. I go three times a week, and so far it's kicking my trash. Anyway, you have to set goals, mine are pretty pathetic but if I can accomplish them by the end of the summer I'm going to be one happy camper! One of them being able to do 1 pull-up. To me, that is the ultimate sign of strength. In the process I'm pretty sure I'm going to die. For a one hour workout I've never felt so much! Here is the gym that I'm going to and also there are some videos on the website that show you what CrossFit is all about.

 maltesecrossfit.com

I mean seriously, you should see me trying to walk right now, it's comical. That's what 50 squats will do to you!

Side note - Almost wedding time. 2 more weeks! And also another random thought, I really appreciate and love people who can calm me down during my moments of freak out. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you, hey you'll be just fine. Thank you kind souls, love you much!

Showers & Sun!

This weekend was super chill, and the weather was gorgeous for once here. I know a tender mercy! I spent some time with good friends, and finally got to Skype B. Which after almost 2 months I've forgotten what he looked like! The best part about skyping is that it's free and that it's so much more personal. Good times!

Saturday Riana, Brittany, and I threw a bridal shower for our dear Heather. It was a fun little party. Riana did the fruit and of course it was perfect. I made the angel food cake, and got the décor! Brittany did the games and made the fruit dip. It was a great time. And of course lingerie. HELLO!

We are fab right?! Look at us!
That night we went and ate at Sammi's and I got to meet Megan's fiancé. And then we talked Parma and weddings!
Sunday was also a beautiful day. So of course BBQ time. Thanks to Anthony for being grill master once again. Then Josh took me for a ride on his motorcycle. Seriously, amazing. I loved it so much, and I loved how beautiful it was outside.
Jello Cake and Apple something or other (sorry Ri I cannot remember)
 Lookin' good A-town!
Josh and I getting ready for our excursion across Rexburg!
HAHA I look like a nerd!
And this picture was taken on Thursday night, but I still love it! Bless this girl!

Spectacular Seattle!

You go on a vacay I swear it takes a week to recover. I had 3 loads of laundry to do last night! WHAT?! Seriously I did not pack that much or wear that much while in Seattle. But then I bought a TON of clothes from Value Village (why isn't there one in Idaho?), and I needed to wash them all. I should seriously take a picture of all the clothes we all bought there. I'm pretty sure Maddie cleaned out the entire store for only $100. Anyway here are some of my adventures to the Pacific Northwest. The drive is beautiful (but long, especially from Rexburg), but I had some of my most favorite people in the car with me so that helped! Our entire family went to  Seattle for our cousin's mission farewell! My uncle Matt is one of the funniest people you'll ever meet, between him and my brothers I didn't stop laughing the entire weekend! I only wish I could have stayed longer, I didn't get to see hardly anything while I was there (granted I shopped, A LOT). There are a lot of pictures, I mean we are the Blaylock's after all, so here we go!
Ry and I stopped by Shoshone Falls before going to Parma. I've never seen it and I heard there was so much water! It was spectacular!
This is a face of a girl who has INSTANT road rage. So funny, but scary too.
I couldn't ever get his face but this was the hot motorcycle guy that pretty much followed us through Tri-cities. After he got off the exit and waved goodbye, I (being slow) waved back, only to wave at the car next to me, WHO happened to be a car full of missionaries. They waved back and Mariah insisted we stop and follow them. Mariah, they are on missions, HELLO, she's like we could write to each other! HA!
Here we are in the car, and of course it is a perfect time for Mariah to pluck Maddie's eyebrows. HA!
The drive into the city. Seriously this city is so beautiful, I love it! I didn't ever get a picture of the Space Needle though, honestly now.
We stopped in the city before heading to Everett. Here we are at Pike Place. Famous of course!
 Liam riding the pig.
Look a bunch of Idaho hicks, hooray for us!
Half of us at the waterfront. I love the ocean!
This is an entire wall of gum. Gross and amazing all at the same time. I had never seen it before.
Do you see what I see?
I am so sure, what if I really licked that wall? Ewww!
Mariah admiring the wall of GUM!
There's just as much gum on the ground as on the wall
The next day I had to go shopping at the outlets and of course I had to go to COACH! I got a screaming deal. Another bag in a matter of weeks really. I'm a high roller!
This is Value Village. I higher class D.I. We went crazy here, and had a lot of fun trying on some CRAZY shirts and outfits!
No trip would be complete without a photo shoot, in the orchard of course!
 Sisters!
Siblings! Look at how old we all are!
I love this cute little family. Liam is CRAZY!
I love this picture! He sure loves his daddy!
Family tradition right here. You put your name on your cup and it lasts you the whole visit. HA!
Me, Hyrum, and Maddie. At Peter's open house.
Good luck in Brazil Peter or should I say Elder Melton. You're going to be fantastic!

So that was my Memorial weekend in a very condensed version. I'm so glad we got to go. But next time, I totally am flying! Now the next event, the WEDDING! I have less then a month now to help get everything organized. I cannot wait. It's going to be so much fun! So hurry up June 24th!
