Weekend Adventures!

Well February is ALMOST over, but March is another loooonnng month too. I’ve got spring fever that’s for sure. What helped me last winter was that I was planning a trip to Florida during this time. I’ve got no travel plans coming up, so that’s disheartening, and I’ve got nothing to look forward to. Maybe that is why this winter seems so long and cold! I guess I shouldn’t live in Eastern Idaho if I don’t like the winter (that’s what my dad tells me). This past weekend was so great though. I got to go home to see my sister play in her final high school basketball games. They lost in a heartbreaker so they didn’t have a chance to play in the state championships, but they did end up being Consolation Champs! It was pretty sad because they were #1 in the state, but someone has to lose, and it’s a good life lesson (more wisdom from dad). My brother and sister-in-law also surprised my mom by coming home with us and of course bringing the CUTEST nephew ever! My mom was so surprised, and in fact cried for a long time while hugging my brother. It was a tender moment, but they were all so happy to see the new baby! That baby will definitely be spoiled that’s for sure. I don’t think Kenzie held him all weekend except for when she fed him and at night. I’m so glad that my mom and sisters got to see him because he’s just so precious. My only regret is that they live in Utah, and I can’t see him as much as I would like! Anyway, I’ll post some pictures of the my weekend. It was so good just to be home and try to recover from my sickness, bleck. I’m pretty sure last week I worked a total of a day and a half, neat!  My dad also celebrated his 50th Birthday, Happy Birthday DAD!

Team USA, Sickness, Nervousness

I just love the Olympics! It seriously just brings me such joy. Probably because we all unite under the same flag and go out and have pride for our country! I just love watching it and getting goose bumps, knowing that these athletes are living their dream. Sarah and I hunker down on our couch to watch them, and last night was no exception. There were thrills and spills. It just makes me feel all sorts of emotions. I know, I’m a weirdo! HA! Go Team USA!
On other news, today I went to the Dr., where we discovered I have a sinus and ear infections, ugh seriously? Last night I was pretty freaked out considering that I was getting dizzy and my vision was all blurry. Thank heavens for modern medicine to help me feel better (although I’ve yet to feel it)!
Tomorrow is the big game day, this is it for Mariah. State basketball, I’m so nervous! I know my parents are even more nervous, bless their hearts. I can’t wait, it’s like the Olympics ha ha, but on a much smaller scale!

Making it Count

I am so ready for a three-day weekend!  Hooray Abraham Lincoln and George Washington for not only being amazing Presidents, but also having birthdays in February!  Anyway, last night, my little sister Mariah's basketball team won the District Championship for Parma High School.  I'm so proud of her, she's worked so hard, and she's ready to make her senior year the best.  I don't have a lot of regrets, but one I do have is not making big moments count (you know like playing in the state championship)!  So I like to tell her that, because this is the last year playing her favorite sport.  She even got an article in the paper, go here to read it!

I'm excited to go home and watch her play for the state title. I love you Ry!

Baby Time!

As I mentioned is my other post, this past weekend we went to the baby blessing of little Liam.  He is still so tiny, but so precious.  Hyrum and I scuttled out of Idaho Falls around 4:30 and were blessed to have great road conditions!  We got stuck in a traffic jam in Bountiful but other than that, smooth sailings!  We met up with my dad and then headed over to Austin and Kenzie's to see the new bundle of joy.
Here I am holding him for the first time, being an aunt looks great on me right?!
Then it was Hyrum's turn!

We had a relaxing day the next day on Saturday.  We went to In-N-Out Burger which I love so much, and now it's exciting that it has made its way to Utah!  We had Olive Garden that night too, yum!  The next day was the blessing, and it was really good.  Of course, I was emotional per usual.  I was sad my mom and sisters couldn't be there as they had prior conflicts but hopefully they will get to see the new baby soon!
Here is my dad and Liam

The happy parents, they look tired and worn out already.  HA, just kidding!

News!

Well it’s crazy but ALL of my February is jam packed already. I’ve got baby blessings to attend, birthday’s, two 3-day weekends, and a lot of driving (hopefully not too much in the snow)! This next weekend Hyrum and I are going to Provo to see Liam. I am so E-X-C-I-T-E-D! Even if only half of my family can be there, I’m happy to hold my little nephew. I really don’t want to share either!

Oh my sisters were both on Parma High School’s Tip-off (equivalent of Homecoming, just during b-ball season) Court, and my sister Mariah was crowned queen. They both looked beautiful, and I wish I could’ve been there. But I opted out since I will be going to Mariah’s state b-ball tournament the 3rd weekend of this month. They are ranked #1 in the state, and I’m so excited for them, it’s their year, well it has to be they’re Seniors!
Mariah and Maddie before getting crowned!
Oh and other news (that I can finally announce), I was made Relief Society President last week in my singles ward… uh I don’t know if that’s good news, but it’s definitely a new challenge and keeps me busy.
One final note, I’m pretty sure I hate February, it’s my LEAST favorite month, because it’s the tail end of winter (sort of), and it’s just so BLAH!
