Birthday Wish List and Other Stuff

The past couple of days, have been rough to say the least. Work has been really hard and I lost my mojo a little bit. My mother has always instilled in me confidence, which I thank her for endlessly. That’s the best thing she could have ever taught me (besides the gospel of course), but it helps on days when you get knocked off… way off… your horse. Now I understand why she did it, all anyone in the world wants to do is tell you that you’re not good enough, you did this great but… and when you get told that numerous times I think you sort of start to want to believe it. Which is RUDE!!! Part of life though getting back up when it’s hard, that’s what life is all about.
Friday I came home just crying to a husband who was just great.  I’m a crier, no big deal, but I think he senses when it’s a hurt cry compared to others. He passed his first test of dealing with a broken down and sad wife. Good job B! He even offered to turn on the X-box so I could shoot some bad guys, haha! We already had tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert so we decided to go to that. It was fantastic, and honestly just what I needed. It soothed my soul, and I felt a lot of comfort. Bless! The rest of the weekend was actually pretty chill, we watched football, cleaned our house, and went food shopping. Wow officially an old married couple!! B’s best friend and his wife were in town so we met up with them for some ice cream! Super fun!
B and I at the concert, with a girl photo bombing us! HA!
Sunday we got to go to our new ward. Different, but great. The bishopric is super friendly and got to know us right away. They seemed genuinely excited to have a new couple in the ward! It’s just different because our old ward everybody knew us, I mean I’ve been in that ward for a long time! Change is good though, and a new adventure for sure!
Oh yes and I officially own my car! I can't believe it! After 4 years of monthly payments Pearl is finally mine!!

My name plate at work, it's official!!
Best news?! It’s my birthday in 3 days! WHAT?! How can my birthday already be here, I can’t believe it! I know that this month has been crazy, because you know I got married and all that jazz, but its snuck up on me that’s for sure! So here’s what I want for my birthday! Not saying I’ll get any of it, but hello I’ve got to make a birthday wish list!
-          A rose gold watch
-          Brown and Black dress boots (the more casual looking kind, not the pointy toe stuff), I really want a pair of red boots too, but I might have to find those myself!
-          Jeans
-          A wireless FM transmitter
-          Perfume
-          Pedicure / Manicure
-          Silver hoop earrings
-          I-tunes gift card
-          Urban Decay eye shadow
-          iPhone 5
-          New skirts / dresses
-          Under Armor Neon Hoodie
-          Boot socks
-          Brown boyfriend jacket
-          Rain boots
-          Nail Polish
-          Coach purse
-          Chocolate
-          Any gift card actually!
Wow that’s quite a list I should say, I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff too. HA! Anyway, here’s hoping that this hump day will move the week a little faster towards my birthday!

Mega Post - Thanks Jenn!

The BFF Jenn at Anything But Ordinary tagged me in a super fun question/answer, Mega Post yesterday.  It was so great, and I loved reading hers, so of course I was so happy when she asked me to one about myself.
The rules are as follows:
1::Each person tagged must post 11 random facts about themselves
2::They must answer the 11 questions posted by the previous blogger
3::They must create 11 more questions to ask their tagged bloggers
4::They must tag 11 blogs with less than 200 followers
5::The bloggers must be told
6::No tag backs

11 Facts about me:
1::The most important people to me include my husband, family, and a few close friends. I would do anything for them, and without them I wouldn’t be who I am today.
2:: I really don’t like bacon. I swear everyone just loves the stuff, but I’m like meh, its ok.
3:: Yesterday was my 2 week anniversary being married, but it feels a lot longer than that since I’ve known my husband for 2 years. Either way, it’s been a wonderful adjustment, and already has taught me a lot about patience and communication! My worst fear is that I become one of those “wives” who just rubs it in everyone’s face how much fun it is being married and you have a disease because you’re single. I was single for 27 years, I know how annoying that can get! *Side story – Sarah was telling me how one of her students was asking her about married life and her student said this “I just don’t know how single people do it, I mean being married is just so perfect. Those poor single girls, how will they ever survive?” SICK! Don’t worry she was 20!
4:: I LOVE chocolate. B makes fun of me all the time because I seriously need it.
5:: One day I hope to be on the Price is Right, with my mom in the audience because she rocks at that game OR Wheel of Fortune… I think our family would kill it on Family Feud!
6:: I’m obsessed with college football… I know more than my husband (not about the game itself but like rankings and which school is better etc…) I am quite proud of that!
7:: I have trained my hair to go at least three days without washing it, I’m pretty proud of that fact considering that my hair doesn’t seem so dry anymore (don’t worry I still take showers).
8:: I’ve had over 50 roommates in the last 10 years. Glad I just have one now for forever (oh crap probably sappy HA)!
9:: Most people think I’m this person who is super outspoken person who has this tough outer shell, but truth is my feelings get hurt super easy. I’d say 98% of the time I try to brush off those hurt feelings.
10:: I constantly have the goosebumps. I don’t know what it is, but I get them so easily, and I always have them. Yeah what’s the point in shaving my legs… UGH!
11:: I knew from the moment I had a real conversation with B that I would marry him. It just took 2 years for him to come to his senses!

Jenn’s questions:
1:: What is your favorite movie soundtrack? A whole soundtrack?! Hmm that’s hard, does Newsies count, or any musical for that matter!!
2::What is your favorite go-to pair of shoes?  Boots, my black riding boots, you can dress them up or down, they are essential to any wardrobe for sure!
3::What is your biggest guilty pleasure? I would say reality TV or a good book. Once I’m sucked in I can’t help it. Oh wait, and Monopoly on the iPad…
4::What's your favorite smell in the entire world? B’s cologne/aftershave/bodywash all in the same category I guess and my mom’s cooking!
5::If you could take ANY class, what would it be?  Honestly floral design or sewing. I would love to use my creativity more! Oh or a really hardcore cooking class, I just think that would be fun!
6::What is your all time favorite junk food? As mentioned before chocolate… ANYTHING, but I have an addiction most to the chocolate ice cream.
7::What is your favorite day?  (Could be day of week, holiday ect...) I love Saturday mornings, Christmas Eve, and of course my Birthday…
8::I often say that many things are a "nightmare."  Explain what your absolute worst nightmare would be…  Waking up and I’m the last person on earth. I get the goosebumps thinking about it.
9:: If you got to live any love story (from history, movies, books ect) which one would you choose? Wow good question… this is hard because there are so many great ones to choose from. I do love Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice but I would like to think my love story is just as wonderful, it could seriously be a movie!
10:: As of right now, what is your number one personal goal and career goal. Personal goal – lose like a 1000 pounds… Career goal – get back into the classroom, how I love teaching history!
11:: List one thing you wish you had the guts to do right now. Quit my job and travel the world…

Tagged Bloggers:
Man I’m pretty sure everyone I would have tagged has already been tagged, but honestly if you haven’t done it yet then do it!! Here are some of my questions!!
1:: Name the top 3 moments of your life.
2:: If you chose no legs or no arms what would you chose to live without? Why?
3:: If you could live in any TV show or movie what would it be and why?
4:: Would you rather go forward two weeks or backward two weeks? Why?
5:: What was the last thing that bothered you?
6:: Name one habit you have that you wish you didn’t.
7:: What are you looking forward to?
8:: Name something that is super popular right now that you totally think is dumb.
9:: When was the last time you cried really hard, like ugly cry?
10:: Who do you think knows you the best?
11:: If you won the lottery what would you do with your cash?

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Taylor... Best Wedding Ever!

Oh HEY! I'm still alive no worries, just getting back to real life after a week and a half off is super hard. I can't believe that my wedding came and went, it's so crazy. It's something that you wait your whole life for and in 3 days it was over. Sort of a blur, but I'm loving all the pictures that everyone took so I can forever re live that most awesome day(s). I took the week off of work which was the best idea ever, because we were so busy, but B and I also got to have some good quality time together before our big day and before my family arrived. I highly recommend that!
Getting our wedding license
My mom, dad, and Mariah arrived Tuesday night with a truck load of things and from then on it was just go go go! My mom spend all day Wednesday shopping, while we go things set up for the luncheon and reception. By that evening the rest of my family was here and I love that we were all here together! Thanks to Emma's sister all of my family stayed in one house and that helped out a ton too! Mariah, Maddie, and I stayed at Mariah's apartment and just had some sister bonding time before the big day, it was fun, and I was trying to keep my nerves down to a minimum. I hadn't heard from my photographer so I was stressing about that (I know a dumb thing to stress about), but still I think I tripled checked everything. My hair appointment was the next morning at 7:00 a.m. so I didn't sleep that good. I didn't want to be late or sleep in or anything. My friend Tenille got me a gift certificate to get my hair done for my wedding and it was the best present ever, her sister did amazing! The best gift that morning was that my dearest Maid of Honor Jenn walked through the door at 7:00 a.m. too!! She seriously slept maybe 4 hours just to make sure we spent quality time together before it was a blur of things to do! I'm so glad she was there, she made me feel a lot better and my nerves seemed to go away! Plus she bought me breakfast, she's the best seriously, love her!

When I got back to my house it was already chaotic so I finished getting ready and just sort of waited for the time to pass! B just called me once to let me know he was ready and leaving Rigby and then it was time to get to the temple! While I was there I just tried to take a mental note about everything that happened. Mostly though I felt peace and love. When we walked into the sealing room I felt so an enormous sense of love it took my breath away. Which then equaled tears and I don't think I stopped crying until I left, it was so beautiful. There were so many people who I love that sat in that room, and B's Mission President even came (which surprised him most of all), it was overwhelming. Most importantly I got married to my best friend, and that was the best part (even if his hands were a little sweaty)!  I was just so happy to finally be there to finally call him my husband. There were many hugs, tears, and rejoicing, I'd like to think heaven will be a little that way! It was the best day ever, and one I'll never forget!

It was crazy to be the ones exiting the temple together, it's usually the other way around and I'm cheering on the loved one, but this time it was me. I had a lot of those moments actually! B and I were just so happy, and we got lots of pictures taken and the weather was perfect for pictures! It started to rain a little once we left and I was freaking out because our reception was outside, but more on that later! We headed to the luncheon where I actually got to talk to my family and be there with them, and we watched the slideshow which turned out fab thanks to Jenn!
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor
Jenn, Maddie, and Mariah... my bridesmaids!
My brothers and me! Love them!
Baby Gracie... love her dress right?! Cutest niece ever!
My parents and us...
My family (for some reason no one took pictures of B's family, so we'll just have to wait for out photographer to get done with our photos)
The weather turned nasty and quick, it was windy and freezing not to mention rain. I just prayed really really hard it would turn out OK. Guess what?! Right before the reception started the wind stopped and the sun came out and it was beautiful! The Bishop and his wife let us have our reception in their backyard and it turned out amazing. I just love them and they've done so many things for us, so it was perfect! We had a great time, and the Italian Soda's were a hit! It was great to see so many of our friends from the ward and B's family too!
Part of the Rexburg reception
Trying to stay warm at the Rexburg reception!
Decorated car with melted whip cream (oh and cookies that took forever to wash off)
Yes, even the inside!
We spent the night at Destinations Inn (which was so fantastic) and the next day we headed to Parma. We even stopped at the Eastern Idaho State Fair and Twin Falls for ol' time sake. Not an ideal honeymoon, but we made it fun because that's how we roll!

Saturday is also a blur. We literally spent ALL day working on the reception. From the yard to the food. I have an amazing family, they all worked so hard. They put in a lot of time and effort to make sure I had the reception of my dreams and it totally was! It was beyond perfect! Hyrum's yard was amazing, and the food was amazing too! We had homemade tomato soup thanks to my mom and aunt Mary for you know basically inventing a recipe, veggies, grilled cheese, cake pops, brownies, and water! So many people came to give us well wishes and good thoughts, we also got to see the kids for a couple hours too! It was seriously perfect! I didn't want it to end, but with Blaylock tradition we had an awesome dance party, and my siblings never cease to make me laugh. Mariah was especially crazy!
Groom's cake (B's surprise), cake pops, and the wedding cake
Coolest cake ever right?!

To say it was the best weekend ever was an understatement. Seriously it was beyond perfect and beyond what I could have ever imagined. I loved every second of it, even if I was stressed or worried, it all ended up being perfectly fine. Thank you to everyone who came, and who helped, it was just the best wedding ever! Enjoy some awesome pictures!! I'm sure there will be many to come!
