First "Real" Kiss...

Do you ever have those moments where you just know you’ll remember that time forever? Like you are instantly creating that memory and saving it for later? Well that moment happened to be a year ago today. The first time B actually kissed me and it meant something. You know we had kissed prior but to him well it wasn’t the same. So you know these days sometimes people kiss for fun, or hormones or whatever. Sometimes though you kiss because it’s the only proper way to tell that person how you feel. The story is actually quite great, and I love how it all happened, but I’ve never really documented it, so I thought today it would be perfect to do so!

Last September and October were pretty rough for us, considering B was figuring out life and his feelings for me and I had already done that a while ago! So it was the weekend and B decided that he was going to go to Lava Hot Springs with his roommates and other girls and it would be better if I didn’t come. OK so he wasn’t rude about it, he just didn’t invite me. I knew they were going, and my feelings were hurt but I figured if we were just going to be friends this is how life would be. It was hard, but I spent time with friends that night and shopped and I actually felt like I could handle our situation.

The next day I got dressed up in my new outfit and decided to just drop by for a lost cookie sheet that I purposely left there or something (seriously that’s a stalker move, but it saved me numerous times for needing an excuse to talk). Wouldn’t you know that B was excited to see me! I totally played up shopping and acted like him going someplace without me was no big deal (even though I was freaking out inside). Our relationship was just so confusing that I never knew what to expect or even do, it was always just random. So we were just sitting there talking when he just kissed me, mid-sentence. I was just so shocked I didn’t know what to say, to which B apologized and said “I don’t know what happened just then, I’m sorry.” I laughed, and didn’t know if I should address it or just act like nothing happened. I just acted like nothing happened, but inside I was freaking out, butterflies, the whole works. Another minute went by and he interrupted me again with another kiss, to which he apologized again and then said “I’m sorry I just can’t help it, I want to kiss you.” Then well from there more kissing ensued. I just couldn’t believe it, and I think he couldn’t either. It definitely wasn’t planned. Well then I just left, to go watch another boy play football. HAHA! The funniest part about the whole story is B conveniently also showed up at the football game too… but that was totally planned (even if he still denies it to this day). We didn’t kiss either until a couple weeks later, but I knew that this time his kiss meant something to him too.

I guess the whole reason why I always want to remember this memory is because of the way I felt when he kissed me. I instantly created that memory of knowing how it feels to kiss someone you love so much, the butterflies, the feeling of time standing still for that brief second; you know all that incredibly mushy stuff. Do you want to know the crazy thing? I still get that feeling when he kisses me now, and he’s my husband…

Birthday/Honeymoon Weekend!

My birthday came and went this year, but it was so much fun!

Since B and I really never got a honeymoon because he started school like 4 days after we got married, we decided to turn my birthday weekend into a honeymoon too. Thanks to Jenn (she gave us a two night hotel stay for our wedding gift) we spent the weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. I know nothing exotic or anything but we had a really great time. We stayed downtown right next to the Temple and it was awesome. We were right in the middle of everything! Friday night we went to the new City Creek Mall which is connected to our hotel, and that was great. They have a mini fountain show which was created by the same people who did the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, so I sort of felt like we went there! HA! We just walked around and shopped a little. It’s a great mall, and we loved people watching too! We ate at Olive Garden and just walked around downtown, we were pretty tired by the end of Friday night! Oh I forgot to mention before we left B gave me my presents early. He’s funny because he went shopping for them Thursday afternoon so of course all night he just kept asking if I wanted them. He has the hardest time keeping a surprise, but he did great! He lasted until Friday afternoon! He did however surprise me, and even made me cry! He’s a good husband!
So he got me houndstooth heels (picked out all by himself, right size too), Diet Dr. Pepper, iTunes Gift Card, Peanut Butter M&Ms, and a Coach Purse (also picked out all by himself). LOVE!
At City Creek, in front of the fountains!
Oohh fire!
Anyway, Saturday for my birthday I picked that we go to Lagoon. So we slept in and then I took B to Kneaders for breakfast because their French toast is amazing! Then we headed out! I loved it! I had a lot of fun, even if B did get sick after riding too many rides at once (he still thinks he is 16 and can handle it), so of course we had to slow down the ride riding for a little while and just walked around. It was fun, and I had an amazing time! We even got western pictures taken (which I’ll have to post later), and saw some crazy people! Even in Utah I’m amazed at what people wear out in public. Why would you wear a mini skirt to a theme park? With high heels?! Smh! Anyway, we spent a good 8 hours there and were done and tired, plus B wasn’t feeling too great bless his heart, so we headed back into town. We went swimming and relaxed in the hot tub, ok here’s another pet peeve of mine. The hot tub is NOT for children to jump in to, have swim in, that’s why there is a HUGE pool. The hot tub is to relax, not find sunken buried treasure. I was annoyed. We left and decided to go to Tucano’s for my birthday dinner. So good, I love that place. I just had all the sushi and meat I wanted. I think B just drank as much lemonade as he possible could! By then our feet hurt and we were so full!
B and I on the sky tram thing at Lagoon!
B getting ready to get some more whiplash!
Sunday we slept in until we had to check out, which was glorious and then made our way to The Pancake House (best breakfast food ever) and then headed up to Park City. B had never been and I have just been to the outlets so we took a ride up there. It was beautiful this time of year, with the leaves and the weather was perfect. It reminded me a lot of Jackson Hole actually. We got some chocolate and looked at overpriced souvenirs. Then we made the trek to the outlets were I think I wore B out shopping. We did some mild damage but it was so fun, we found lots of great deals, and I even got my husband a semi new wardrobe! I love having a boy to dress now (even though he’s still not a fan of mustard yellow, hello its FALL)! I think we spent the most time in the Nike Outlet, a boy’s dream! By then it was time to head home, and we stopped for some more sushi on our way home (can’t you tell its my favorite). We even got a discount so cheap and yummy is a win win! We jammed out to old school CD’s and even had time to talk to the kids on our way home.
It was seriously one of my top 5 weekends ever! Birthday, and alone time was exactly what I wanted. Thanks again to Jenn for the hotel, without her we wouldn’t have been able to have the fun we did! I have a feeling 28 will be great (hey I rhymed)!

Birthday Wish List and Other Stuff

The past couple of days, have been rough to say the least. Work has been really hard and I lost my mojo a little bit. My mother has always instilled in me confidence, which I thank her for endlessly. That’s the best thing she could have ever taught me (besides the gospel of course), but it helps on days when you get knocked off… way off… your horse. Now I understand why she did it, all anyone in the world wants to do is tell you that you’re not good enough, you did this great but… and when you get told that numerous times I think you sort of start to want to believe it. Which is RUDE!!! Part of life though getting back up when it’s hard, that’s what life is all about.
Friday I came home just crying to a husband who was just great.  I’m a crier, no big deal, but I think he senses when it’s a hurt cry compared to others. He passed his first test of dealing with a broken down and sad wife. Good job B! He even offered to turn on the X-box so I could shoot some bad guys, haha! We already had tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert so we decided to go to that. It was fantastic, and honestly just what I needed. It soothed my soul, and I felt a lot of comfort. Bless! The rest of the weekend was actually pretty chill, we watched football, cleaned our house, and went food shopping. Wow officially an old married couple!! B’s best friend and his wife were in town so we met up with them for some ice cream! Super fun!
B and I at the concert, with a girl photo bombing us! HA!
Sunday we got to go to our new ward. Different, but great. The bishopric is super friendly and got to know us right away. They seemed genuinely excited to have a new couple in the ward! It’s just different because our old ward everybody knew us, I mean I’ve been in that ward for a long time! Change is good though, and a new adventure for sure!
Oh yes and I officially own my car! I can't believe it! After 4 years of monthly payments Pearl is finally mine!!

My name plate at work, it's official!!
Best news?! It’s my birthday in 3 days! WHAT?! How can my birthday already be here, I can’t believe it! I know that this month has been crazy, because you know I got married and all that jazz, but its snuck up on me that’s for sure! So here’s what I want for my birthday! Not saying I’ll get any of it, but hello I’ve got to make a birthday wish list!
-          A rose gold watch
-          Brown and Black dress boots (the more casual looking kind, not the pointy toe stuff), I really want a pair of red boots too, but I might have to find those myself!
-          Jeans
-          A wireless FM transmitter
-          Perfume
-          Pedicure / Manicure
-          Silver hoop earrings
-          I-tunes gift card
-          Urban Decay eye shadow
-          iPhone 5
-          New skirts / dresses
-          Under Armor Neon Hoodie
-          Boot socks
-          Brown boyfriend jacket
-          Rain boots
-          Nail Polish
-          Coach purse
-          Chocolate
-          Any gift card actually!
Wow that’s quite a list I should say, I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff too. HA! Anyway, here’s hoping that this hump day will move the week a little faster towards my birthday!

Mega Post - Thanks Jenn!

The BFF Jenn at Anything But Ordinary tagged me in a super fun question/answer, Mega Post yesterday.  It was so great, and I loved reading hers, so of course I was so happy when she asked me to one about myself.
The rules are as follows:
1::Each person tagged must post 11 random facts about themselves
2::They must answer the 11 questions posted by the previous blogger
3::They must create 11 more questions to ask their tagged bloggers
4::They must tag 11 blogs with less than 200 followers
5::The bloggers must be told
6::No tag backs

11 Facts about me:
1::The most important people to me include my husband, family, and a few close friends. I would do anything for them, and without them I wouldn’t be who I am today.
2:: I really don’t like bacon. I swear everyone just loves the stuff, but I’m like meh, its ok.
3:: Yesterday was my 2 week anniversary being married, but it feels a lot longer than that since I’ve known my husband for 2 years. Either way, it’s been a wonderful adjustment, and already has taught me a lot about patience and communication! My worst fear is that I become one of those “wives” who just rubs it in everyone’s face how much fun it is being married and you have a disease because you’re single. I was single for 27 years, I know how annoying that can get! *Side story – Sarah was telling me how one of her students was asking her about married life and her student said this “I just don’t know how single people do it, I mean being married is just so perfect. Those poor single girls, how will they ever survive?” SICK! Don’t worry she was 20!
4:: I LOVE chocolate. B makes fun of me all the time because I seriously need it.
5:: One day I hope to be on the Price is Right, with my mom in the audience because she rocks at that game OR Wheel of Fortune… I think our family would kill it on Family Feud!
6:: I’m obsessed with college football… I know more than my husband (not about the game itself but like rankings and which school is better etc…) I am quite proud of that!
7:: I have trained my hair to go at least three days without washing it, I’m pretty proud of that fact considering that my hair doesn’t seem so dry anymore (don’t worry I still take showers).
8:: I’ve had over 50 roommates in the last 10 years. Glad I just have one now for forever (oh crap probably sappy HA)!
9:: Most people think I’m this person who is super outspoken person who has this tough outer shell, but truth is my feelings get hurt super easy. I’d say 98% of the time I try to brush off those hurt feelings.
10:: I constantly have the goosebumps. I don’t know what it is, but I get them so easily, and I always have them. Yeah what’s the point in shaving my legs… UGH!
11:: I knew from the moment I had a real conversation with B that I would marry him. It just took 2 years for him to come to his senses!

Jenn’s questions:
1:: What is your favorite movie soundtrack? A whole soundtrack?! Hmm that’s hard, does Newsies count, or any musical for that matter!!
2::What is your favorite go-to pair of shoes?  Boots, my black riding boots, you can dress them up or down, they are essential to any wardrobe for sure!
3::What is your biggest guilty pleasure? I would say reality TV or a good book. Once I’m sucked in I can’t help it. Oh wait, and Monopoly on the iPad…
4::What's your favorite smell in the entire world? B’s cologne/aftershave/bodywash all in the same category I guess and my mom’s cooking!
5::If you could take ANY class, what would it be?  Honestly floral design or sewing. I would love to use my creativity more! Oh or a really hardcore cooking class, I just think that would be fun!
6::What is your all time favorite junk food? As mentioned before chocolate… ANYTHING, but I have an addiction most to the chocolate ice cream.
7::What is your favorite day?  (Could be day of week, holiday ect...) I love Saturday mornings, Christmas Eve, and of course my Birthday…
8::I often say that many things are a "nightmare."  Explain what your absolute worst nightmare would be…  Waking up and I’m the last person on earth. I get the goosebumps thinking about it.
9:: If you got to live any love story (from history, movies, books ect) which one would you choose? Wow good question… this is hard because there are so many great ones to choose from. I do love Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice but I would like to think my love story is just as wonderful, it could seriously be a movie!
10:: As of right now, what is your number one personal goal and career goal. Personal goal – lose like a 1000 pounds… Career goal – get back into the classroom, how I love teaching history!
11:: List one thing you wish you had the guts to do right now. Quit my job and travel the world…

Tagged Bloggers:
Man I’m pretty sure everyone I would have tagged has already been tagged, but honestly if you haven’t done it yet then do it!! Here are some of my questions!!
1:: Name the top 3 moments of your life.
2:: If you chose no legs or no arms what would you chose to live without? Why?
3:: If you could live in any TV show or movie what would it be and why?
4:: Would you rather go forward two weeks or backward two weeks? Why?
5:: What was the last thing that bothered you?
6:: Name one habit you have that you wish you didn’t.
7:: What are you looking forward to?
8:: Name something that is super popular right now that you totally think is dumb.
9:: When was the last time you cried really hard, like ugly cry?
10:: Who do you think knows you the best?
11:: If you won the lottery what would you do with your cash?

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Taylor... Best Wedding Ever!

Oh HEY! I'm still alive no worries, just getting back to real life after a week and a half off is super hard. I can't believe that my wedding came and went, it's so crazy. It's something that you wait your whole life for and in 3 days it was over. Sort of a blur, but I'm loving all the pictures that everyone took so I can forever re live that most awesome day(s). I took the week off of work which was the best idea ever, because we were so busy, but B and I also got to have some good quality time together before our big day and before my family arrived. I highly recommend that!
Getting our wedding license
My mom, dad, and Mariah arrived Tuesday night with a truck load of things and from then on it was just go go go! My mom spend all day Wednesday shopping, while we go things set up for the luncheon and reception. By that evening the rest of my family was here and I love that we were all here together! Thanks to Emma's sister all of my family stayed in one house and that helped out a ton too! Mariah, Maddie, and I stayed at Mariah's apartment and just had some sister bonding time before the big day, it was fun, and I was trying to keep my nerves down to a minimum. I hadn't heard from my photographer so I was stressing about that (I know a dumb thing to stress about), but still I think I tripled checked everything. My hair appointment was the next morning at 7:00 a.m. so I didn't sleep that good. I didn't want to be late or sleep in or anything. My friend Tenille got me a gift certificate to get my hair done for my wedding and it was the best present ever, her sister did amazing! The best gift that morning was that my dearest Maid of Honor Jenn walked through the door at 7:00 a.m. too!! She seriously slept maybe 4 hours just to make sure we spent quality time together before it was a blur of things to do! I'm so glad she was there, she made me feel a lot better and my nerves seemed to go away! Plus she bought me breakfast, she's the best seriously, love her!

When I got back to my house it was already chaotic so I finished getting ready and just sort of waited for the time to pass! B just called me once to let me know he was ready and leaving Rigby and then it was time to get to the temple! While I was there I just tried to take a mental note about everything that happened. Mostly though I felt peace and love. When we walked into the sealing room I felt so an enormous sense of love it took my breath away. Which then equaled tears and I don't think I stopped crying until I left, it was so beautiful. There were so many people who I love that sat in that room, and B's Mission President even came (which surprised him most of all), it was overwhelming. Most importantly I got married to my best friend, and that was the best part (even if his hands were a little sweaty)!  I was just so happy to finally be there to finally call him my husband. There were many hugs, tears, and rejoicing, I'd like to think heaven will be a little that way! It was the best day ever, and one I'll never forget!

It was crazy to be the ones exiting the temple together, it's usually the other way around and I'm cheering on the loved one, but this time it was me. I had a lot of those moments actually! B and I were just so happy, and we got lots of pictures taken and the weather was perfect for pictures! It started to rain a little once we left and I was freaking out because our reception was outside, but more on that later! We headed to the luncheon where I actually got to talk to my family and be there with them, and we watched the slideshow which turned out fab thanks to Jenn!
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor
Jenn, Maddie, and Mariah... my bridesmaids!
My brothers and me! Love them!
Baby Gracie... love her dress right?! Cutest niece ever!
My parents and us...
My family (for some reason no one took pictures of B's family, so we'll just have to wait for out photographer to get done with our photos)
The weather turned nasty and quick, it was windy and freezing not to mention rain. I just prayed really really hard it would turn out OK. Guess what?! Right before the reception started the wind stopped and the sun came out and it was beautiful! The Bishop and his wife let us have our reception in their backyard and it turned out amazing. I just love them and they've done so many things for us, so it was perfect! We had a great time, and the Italian Soda's were a hit! It was great to see so many of our friends from the ward and B's family too!
Part of the Rexburg reception
Trying to stay warm at the Rexburg reception!
Decorated car with melted whip cream (oh and cookies that took forever to wash off)
Yes, even the inside!
We spent the night at Destinations Inn (which was so fantastic) and the next day we headed to Parma. We even stopped at the Eastern Idaho State Fair and Twin Falls for ol' time sake. Not an ideal honeymoon, but we made it fun because that's how we roll!

Saturday is also a blur. We literally spent ALL day working on the reception. From the yard to the food. I have an amazing family, they all worked so hard. They put in a lot of time and effort to make sure I had the reception of my dreams and it totally was! It was beyond perfect! Hyrum's yard was amazing, and the food was amazing too! We had homemade tomato soup thanks to my mom and aunt Mary for you know basically inventing a recipe, veggies, grilled cheese, cake pops, brownies, and water! So many people came to give us well wishes and good thoughts, we also got to see the kids for a couple hours too! It was seriously perfect! I didn't want it to end, but with Blaylock tradition we had an awesome dance party, and my siblings never cease to make me laugh. Mariah was especially crazy!
Groom's cake (B's surprise), cake pops, and the wedding cake
Coolest cake ever right?!
Cute boy Parker! Love him!
Mom's old living room furniture we painted for the reception!
Tables, dance floor, and the amazing view of Parma
Oh the amazing Hansen girls, seriously love them!
Mom and Dad under the willow tree!
Love this picture, and cute Liam who loves B more than me, pretty sure!
Cheese ball Tajia, and her cute dress!
Honestly, cutest picture ever, Parker is a mini B!
Shots of the great food!
Yummy cake...
Tossing the bouquet!
First dance...
Grandkids... poor Reece... ha!
Love them and their matching dresses...
Tajia and her new Aunt Mariah and Aunt Maddie
Dancing the night away!
The lights! It was seriously beautiful...
Our new family!
To say it was the best weekend ever was an understatement. Seriously it was beyond perfect and beyond what I could have ever imagined. I loved every second of it, even if I was stressed or worried, it all ended up being perfectly fine. Thank you to everyone who came, and who helped, it was just the best wedding ever! Enjoy some awesome pictures!! I'm sure there will be many to come!

Goodbye Ms. Blaylock!

This is probably the last time I'll have a chance to really write anything down or blog until after I'm married.

Crazy.

Last night I had another bridal shower put on by my dearest BFF Sarah. It was delightful and I had a really great time just talking and spending time with my future family and my dearest friends. I love it because everyone really thought about something I need and want and so I'm taken care for my wedding. Makes my heart full!
Look at that amazing food! All of my favorites!
Red Velvet Brownies!
7 Layer Dip
Of course my beverage of choice...
Amanda and Brittany

It's crazy to think that I'm getting married, and saying goodbye to single-hood. Something I've known for 10 years. I've had some amazing roommates and great memories. Honestly I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. I have learned so much about life and about who I am that is only going to make married life better. Granted I've made mistakes, and I could have done things maybe a little differently but that's part of life. I feel like the last day of the semester when you are all packed up and it's time to say goodbye to your roommates. It's so bittersweet. Knowing you've created awesome memories and you'll miss it but knowing the future is going to be another great and wonderful adventure. I know though that I'm getting  a really good roommate now, HA!

To all those who've helped me this far in life I'll be forever grateful, each person that I have formed a friendship with as taught me something about life and living it. To my friends who have been with me for the past couple years and letting me cry on your shoulder about B and who knows what else (like endless emails, messages, etc..), thank you! To my family who is working so hard to make sure I have the best day ever, I can't express how much I love you. Finally to my B, I love you, I'm so excited to be Mrs. Taylor, and to laugh every day of forever with you!

Don't worry you know I'll take a ton of pictures, and have the best time, we all know I love to party! Hope to see you there!

Much love,
Savy B

From Miss to Mrs.

Sadly this is the only picture I personally took of my bridal shower. My mom and sisters took the rest. It was a really fun time, and I love the all the people from Parma that came. OK and relatives NOT living in Parma. It was mostly women who have helped raise me or been my church leaders, or friends, and of course family. It turned out really fun, Mackenzie and Emma made food, as well as my grandma, mom, and Mariah. Emma did a "how well do you know Brycen game" and I got all of them right! Booyah. Ok so he missed one because he said my celebrity crush was Justin Bieber. Uh, really?! Everyone knows it's Zac Efron and Channing Tatum. I was like, um yeah I like his music but I would never DATE him. HA! Oh well. For the most part though it was fun to eat, and chat and see all the fun things I can use for my wedding. I had a great time!

I just kept thinking, oh wow this is so weird, this is my own shower. I've been to so many bridal showers I can't even name them, but it was great that it was actually my own! Sort of one of those "whoa this is crazy" moments.

I'm trying not to be overwhelmed, but I get more annoyed because I can't help my family back in Parma. I feel guilty that they are doing all the hard work and I'm here at work in Rexburg, and can't do as much as I would like. I sure am blessed to have amazing parents who know how important this day is to me. They've worked so hard (and so has the rest of my family) to make sure I'm happy and that's so great. I also have a lot of great friends too who are so willing to help and some even let me have another reception in their back yard, it makes my heart full... and I get emotional just thinking about it. Blessed indeed.

So we are 10 days away. Still a lot is needing to get done, but I get to take all next week off and that will help a lot. AH! It's crazy! So exciting too, beyond exciting really, it's awesome!
